LaZoom Comedy Night: Holly Lynnea

For a woman who thought she would work in advertising someday, comedy turned out to be where Holly Lynnea landed. The Louisville-based comedian, writer, actor and dancer with a wicked repartee, has performed comedy across the US and Canada.

Currently she is a writer for Kevin Hart's Laugh Out Loud Network series "YOU LOOK LIKE" , directed by Craig Brewer ("Coming to America 2", "Hustle & Flow", "Black Snake Moan"), she made her television debut on FOX's "Laughs TV" show and was a semi-finalist for StandUp NBC. She also served as the lead dancer and choreographer in a music video, for the Grammy nominated music group, The Foreign Exchange (Asking For A Friend) for their album, "Tales From The Land Of Milk and Honey".

Holly has worked with many notable comedians including: D.L. Hughley, Roy Wood Jr., Rich Vos, Sasheer Zamata, Aparna Nancherla, Hannibal Buress, Marcella Arguello, Joyelle Nicole Johnson, Emma Willman, Laurie Killmartin, Jackie Kashian, Kim Whitley, Sherry Sheppard, Dave Arnold, Steve O, Rod Man, Aida Rodriguez, Joel Kim Booster, Kevin Bozeman, Matt Braunger, Jo Firestone, Sean Patton and Killer Beaz.

Holly honed her comedic timing, while training at The Second City and iO Training Centers in Chicago, IL. Her comedic style is best described as charming, yet unapologetic. She boldly engages her audiences by sharing the not-so-proud experiences that led to her quirky and humorous worldview.

She has performed at numerous comedy festivals including: the Cape Fear Comedy Festival, Gilda's LaughFest "Best of the Midwest", Chicago Women's Funny Festival, Cincinnati Brew Ha-Ha, Scruffy City Comedy Festival, Whiskey Bear Comedy Festival, Toronto's SheDot Festival, Derby City Comedy Festival, Laugh Your Asheville Off, Accidental Comedy Festival, Crossroads Comedy Festival, Orlando Indie Comedy Festival, Women In Comedy Festival, Limestone Comedy Festival, Out of Bounds Comedy Festival, 208 Comedy Festival, All Jane Comedy Festival, Red Clay Comedy Festival, NC Comedy Festival, Burning Bridges Comedy Festival, Cream City Comedy Festival, Black Girl Giggles Comedy Festival, Oak City Comedy Festival and the Memphis Comedy Festival.
