Modelface Comedy brings you the best comedians from all over the country. This weekend we have Sean Patton at AyurPrana Listening Room in West Asheville!!

Sean Patton is a comedian based in New York, by way of New Orleans. He began doing stand-up in the Crescent City and has since performed in comedy clubs and festivals across the world, including The Melbourne International Comedy Festival, The Glasgow Comedy fest, the Dublin Comedy fest, and The Edinburgh Fringe. Other festivals appearances include SXSW, The Moontower comedy festival, Just for Laughs Chicago, Just for Laughs Toronto and Just for Laughs Montreal. He's performed on Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Conan, and Comedy Central’s The Half Hour. More recently, He's been on @midnight , The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail, This Is Not Happening, Showtime's Live from SXSW, TruTv's Comedy Knockout, and This week at the Comedy Cellar.

In 2019 he released his second album Scuttlebutt on Helium Records. His next album King Scorpio was released on Christmas Eve 2021 and as a special on Youtube in August 2022. His special Number One is currently streaming on peacock.

As for acting, He's appeared on IFC'S Maron, Comedy Central's Inside Amy Schumer and TruTV's Those who can't. As of September 2024 He stars alongside Brian Jordan Alvarez, Stephanie Koenig, Enrico Colantoni, and Carmen Christopher in FX’s English Teacher

Kendall Farrell is a New York City based standup comedian from Vermont. He was named a ‘Comic To Watch’ at the New York Comedy Festival and headlined Caroline’s on Broadway as part of their Breakout Artist series. He has been heard on SiriusXM as well as seen in web content for Cracked and Cracked, Adult Swim, and at comedy festivals across the country including the Brooklyn Comedy Festival, Limestone Comedy Festival, TreeFort Festival, and Red Clay Comedy Festival, among others. He has opened for headliners including Michelle Wolf, Rachel Feinstein, Beth Stelling, Ashley Gavin, Matteo Lane & more.

In his home state Kendall won the Vermont’s Funniest Comedian Contest and was profiled in Seven Days for his work hosting some of the most popular local shows. In New York, Kendall has performed on some of the most acclaimed shows in the city including at Caroline’s, The Stand, New York Comedy Club, Comedians You Should Know, Littlefield, and at UCB and Union Hall. He also regularly hosts the popular weekly show “Just Come.”

One was teacher of the year and the other got fired for posting jokes online. They’re unhinged, uncensored, and unforgettable. The Unteachables bring you a night of comedy and unfiltered QnA. Known to you as the students who were always the loud kids in the back of the classroom, the Unteachables are a group of stand-up comedians who just happened to fall backwards into educating America’s youth. Their material extends far beyond just the chaos that exists in their classroom. They offer authentic comedy to everyone, regardless of if they've worked in education, need a break from reality, or just love to laugh. The Unteachables have been featured on NBC, The Breakfast Club, The New York Post, and the Roast Battle League.

Stephen Taylor

Originally a Louisiana native, Stephen moved to Kansas City to escape his traditional southern roots. Combining his unique perspective with some interesting stories and some sweet southern charm, Stephen headlines and features at your favorite clubs, bars, and colleges across the country, as well as his own classroom. He has been featured on The Breakfast Club, The New York Post, and at San Francisco Sketchfest. His debut album 'The Bottom Half' was number one on iTunes and can be heard on Sirius XM

Lou Pharis

Raised in the non-famous parts of Louisiana, Lou Pharis never thought he’d be anything more than an NFL caliber offensive lineman. After failing to go pro and then losing out on American Ninja Warrior, Lou turned his talents to the public education system. A particularly rough day at school made Lou sign up for his first open mic when he realized there’s a teacher shortage, so he couldn’t be fired for doing comedy. Lou’s stand-up has since found massive success, garnering over 100 million views on social media. He has headlined clubs such as Zanies, Comedy Works, and Wiseguys, been seen on NBC and Bored Teachers, and has performed at dozens of comedy festivals across the country.

Joe Mckenna

Joe McKenna is a comedian from Boston, Massachusetts. One of the fastest rising comics in Denver, Joe utilizes his experience as a middle school teacher and traveler to recount his most bizarre undergoings with his students, his time spent abroad, and the ever changing social expectations of the youth. Joe has been seen at comedy clubs across the US, and has worked with household comedians such as Mark Normand, Shane Gillis, and Jeff Ross.

Crisp Comedy takes place once a month in Leicester, NC at Noble Cider and hosted by Leicester's own Clay Jones! A fresh batch of comics each month so no two shows are the same! This months headliner is The Grinch from above Whoville!!!

The Grinch and his loyal dog, Max, live a solitary existence inside a cave on Mount Crumpet. His main source of aggravation comes during Christmastime when his neighbors in Whoville celebrate the holidays with a bang. The disgruntled Grinch realizes there is one way to gain peace and quiet and with help from Max, the green grump hatched a scheme to pose as Santa Claus, steal Christmas and silence the Whos' holiday cheer once and for all.

Caleb Synan is one of the hottest young comics in the country. (Funny AND good looking!) His unique background as a preacher’s kid from a small southern town gives him the ability to relate to any and every crowd -- even though he’s a big old millennial who lives in LA. Want proof? He’s performed on CONAN (twice!), Last Comic Standing (once!), and his first Comedy Central special “30” in 2022 (You can watch it on YouTube!)

He’s also entertained our troops in South Korea and Japan. What a guy! It’s no wonder he won the title of "Wittiest" in Franklin County High School’s 2009 Yearbook. He even wrote this bio himself. And he’ll have a margarita with you if you play your cards right.

Kevin McCaffrey is a comedian who made his network debut on The Late Show with David Letterman, and whose two albums – “Nice & Drunk” and “Not Helping” – both debuted at #1 on the iTunes/Amazon charts, with over 2 million streams on SiriusXM and Spotify. He was a regular for 7 years on truTV Presents: World’s Dumbest, doing 200 episodes that will rerun until the end of time. Kevin has a social media following of over 250,000 online and his videos have over 50 million views.

He won seasons 2 & 3 on truTV’s Comedy Knockout, was a featured cast member on VH1’s I Love the 2000s, truTV’s Greatest Ever, and a series of shows on the WWE Network. He also hosted IFC’s Comedy Drop, and after appearing on the show, worked as the fill-in warm-up comic on The Late Show.

Kevin hosted Celebrate! a weekly interview show on Sirius XM channel 99, and currently hosts the Sex and the Cidiots & The Bridgerton Bros podcasts.

Every Thursday Modelface Comedy brings the best local and touring comedians to Asheville! This week we have local favorite Aaron Naylor on the rooftop at Antidote!

Aaron Naylor is a stand-up comedian known for his one-liners about whales and his mom. In 2013, he performed at his first open mic at Laff's Comedy Caffe after moving to Tucson, because he felt like it.

Shortly after, he moved back home to Kansas City and won the 2014 Local Comic Standing competition. He quickly became a Midwest favorite, placing 2nd in the 2016 Cleveland Comedy Festival, winning the 2017 Funniest Person in Wichita, and was featured on season 8 of Comcast’s Trial by Laughter.

Aaron has performed at some of the best comedy festivals in the country, including San Francisco Sketchfest, Limestone, Asheville, and 10,000 Laughs. He has also shared the stage with cool comedians like Todd Barry, Sam Tallent, and Ron Funches. His comedy has been featured on Dry Bar, Comcast, Comedy Juice, and the whole entire internet.

In 2021, Aaron was named the Funniest Person in Kansas City by KC Magazine, while also co-founding the Fountain City Comedy Festival. In 2023, he released a book called "Things I Wrote" to acclaim, he thinks, and shot his first comedy special "Born Illiterate" with Four by Three Productions. in 2024, his dry bar special "those were the days" was released to acclaim and a billion views, he bets. He tours across the country regularly, so if you’ve got some hugs, please give him a few.
